Food was decent but the ordering and pick up situation was a total mess. Lots of people all jammed together and unclear who was ordering or waiting for food. A covid disaster waiting to happen. Two stars for being a unique spot and probably really fun during normal times.

It's just so freaking good. We can't stop too often. Mostly we stop for the custard but I enjoy a burger and fries occasionally as well. Prices seem a bit high on the burgers but the burgers are good sized so I do not mind. In the winter it's not the best as sitting outside is less of an ideal option. Lines are always a bit long, but they do their best to keep them moving. You know it is good when the line wraps around the waiting area, right?!

Love Kopps custard, couldn't possibly complain about that. However during the current Covid situation you should steer clear of this particular location. It's way too small to handle lines inside with even 2 feet of distance yet alone 6. People constantly having to cross one another and lines impossible to really reason with. They would be better served having the likes form outside and helping direct people in to avoid the chaos inside, but that is not how they appear to be approaching it. It appears they are fine with no real organizing measures and no mask policy, so personally I would just avoid this location until things settle down a bit. Then come back when you dont have to worry about their poor logistics.

Glendale Kopps: 7/10/20 absolutely no social distancing and large percentage of patrons were not wearing masks. Had go inside to order as unable to order on line or by phone. The chicken sandwich was dry and overcooked. Their attempt to control traffic flow was a joke as people just waited for someone to exit to go in the clearly marked no entrance door. It will a long time before we return.

Love Kopp’s. Great custard. Great setting. Great seating. Great cow statues. A Milwaukee institution. Don’t leave Wisconsin without trying the custard. Lots of yung’ins after hours mind you. They also sell food which I’ve heard was pretty good but never tried. Always check the flavor forecast for the two flavors of the day. Not like ice cream, not like soft serve, more like a really really thick milkshake that you can’t drink. But it’s not a milkshake, it’s a custard. They have milkshakes that are made with custard but they’re different.

Very disappointed !!!!I ordered french fries with No Saltlt and two hamburgers with no salt, relish and ketchup. Unfortunately, my fries were limp and very salty ,the burgers were loaded with fried onions ,mustard ketchup and heavy salt.when I called to advise them of the errors , I was placed on hold for the manager, after 15 minutes of waiting the manager never came to the phone. I think I'll stick to just buying custard from kopp's and get my fries at McDonald's across the street next time.

Got the classic combo of a cheeseburger and a custard of the day and it did the job. Both tasted wonderful. Also loved the old 50s diner aesthetic

We ordered online 30 min in advance. Arrived expecting to pickup our order but instead were given a paper ticket. They don't start the order until you pickup the ticket. Waited 30 min with at least 30 people were packed in. No way 6 feet distancing was possible. None of the staff wore masks. As order were completed staff yelled into the waiting area a number. After 25 years of going to koops I was so disappointed.

It was amazing! They have always been a highlight of coming to Wisconsin. Amazing burgers. Delicious custard. Perfect!

We got 10 flavors of frozen custard shipped to us from Kopps! It was delicious and still creamy after being sent across the states. Most of the fillings were very generous. I wish the cookies and cream had larger and more cookie chunks like the cookie dough flavor. We also made Thin Mint dessert with a frozen thin mint, a scoop of Mint Chip, and then drizzled it with hot fudge. If you’re taking a pint home, try this!!Definitely get the hot fudge. It’s amazing.

This rating is strictly for the turtle sundae. I love a turtle that has great custard and all the toppings that compliment it. The sundae was deliously, it had just the right amounts of carmel and chocolate. I like a little extra caramel. The pecans are amazing, but I need more pecan in my sundae. The nuts are the best part. Try it if you haven't, you will not be disappointed.

Honestly, these are the best burgers I've ever had, the custard was very tasty, but one cup is good enough for two people. I was beyond satisfied with my visit, in the future I will have to make Kopps a regular visit from now on.

Placed an online order with Kopps but when I got there only my name showed up no order. The staff did not hesitate to rush order for, awesome customer service and thank you again!

Delicious place to eat while in town. The burgers are huge, a double could be shared. Absolutely fabulous desserts as well. Monthly specials and weekly flavors of custard. So good!

One of my fav’s for custard, creamy but it melts so fast, this time I got the flavor of the day “Wedding Cake” in a bowl which had REAL cake pieces in it, with a raspberry filling

When I first moved to Wisconsin I stayed in the hotel next door to Kopps. I consider myself lucky to have had such a wonderful introduction to Midwestern burger joints. This place is the standard by which other custard stands are measured, and I've been to several locations, all of which are wonderful. Staff is always upbeat and they seem happy, suggesting (to me at least) that the company knows how to treat it's people. The product is quality through and through. Some of the best burgers, fries, and dairy desserts I've come across. Always impeccably fresh. My only complaints about this location in particular is the lack of seating, and the entire area is not easily accessible from a highway/driving perspective. The fact that this place is always packed is testament to how loved an institution it is.

A tradition to eat here every time we are visiting family in Milwaukee! Delicious burgers, fries, onion rings and CUSTARD! A must try if you are in MKE.

This place is the best for a giant burger altho the price has gone up a bit but with consideration. Of the virus its understand able. Always friendly

Enjoyed delicious Kopp's custard with our family yesterday. We have Andy's down in Texas, but Kopp's is out true love! The place was packed, but the wait wasn't too long. I enjoyed the rasberry custard and my family had the chocolate, vanilla and butter almond in varying mixtures. Out son also enjoyed a double cheeseburger that was absolutely delicious (his words). This place is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Kopps custard always a treat! Some if my favorites: spumoni, bananna black walnut, chocolate chip ANYTHING! Its so rich and creamy. And its a real treat for visitors!!

Kopp’s is one of the staples for local custard and burgers. You can expect great (large) thin patty burgers. They typically have 2 flavors of the day every day, which are always amazing for those willing to try something new. Or their usual vanilla and chocolate custard is fantastic for those that want to stick to what you know. Pictured in this review is the chocolate peanut butter log sundae, my personal favorite. 🙂

Kopp's is a great burger and ice cream place. I've been going there since Elsa was running their drive-in on Appleton Ave. in 1964. Their menu hasn't changed much since then.They concentrate on burgers and homemade custard and that's it. Huge jumbo burgers about 6" in diameter, made to your order. Cheeseburgers too. Their onion rings are good, as are the fries. The kitchen is open so you can see it is kept spotless.My only critique is there is no indoor seating, so Winter is a bit rugged experience. Most people just get their orders and plow back in their cars to eat.

Well, the place isn't organized at all during the pandemic. Its chaotic inside - the servers could use a glass separation with a mic and headsets so they can clearly hear what we are ordering and dont have to go too close to them( it is already too noisy inside ).I may not visit the place until the pandemic is over. P.S the custard was great so 2 stars.

Very delicious! 400% better than Culver's custard. Thick, creamy, great flavor. Treat yourself and come here instead!

Not handling COVID-19 well at all. Allowing way too many people in the lobby. Social distancing impossible and masks not enforced. Love the custard but they are failing at safety.

Always make it a point to stop by Kopps when I'm driving through to get a double cheeseburger, onion rings, and a dip of custard. Really great food - and the lines here at all times of the day show it.

Kopp's is a Milwaukee institution. If you want something truly Wisconsin and Milwaukee Kopp's is it.Fresh daily custard flavors and made to order grill items will make your visit worthwhile. Don't expect to find seating and be prepared to wait a little bit for grill and fountain orders. Always busy and always fresh. Not always the neatest place because it is so busy, but still pretty clean.We go frequently so I think that is the best endorsement.

Kopps has lost a customer for the foreseeable future. Their foods and custard are amazing but social consciousness is apparently no longer in existence. I entered the Kopps in Glendale tonight and there were hoards of folks everywhere with no attempt at social distancing, people on top of people far from the plan Kopps had in place when the pandemic started when there was a floor plan keeping customers 6" apart. The sign on the door does say masks are mandatory, but otherwise no attempt or consideration for customer safety.

We only had custard at this location. It was phenomenal. Definitely recommend.

Delicious frozen custard. Lots of flavors to choose. Great service. The burgers looked incredible but I didn't have time to try one on my visit. There's lots of parking and the cows in the back are a nice touch.

Always have been a huge fan of Kopps since growing up near the Greenfield location, now regularly head to Brookfield location. We stop at this Port Wash Rd location after a baseball game nearby. Place was packed and employees weren't moving at all. We stood for over 7 minutes without a single new customer being served. Finally left frustrated and headed west to going somewhere else. Very disappointing...

Kopp’s is a Milwaukee icon, mostly because of it’s amazing custard. The burgers and friendly service adds to the appeal. Also, you can order up to 6 scoops for less than $7! Check out the cow sculptures in the back. Packaging: cardboard, paper bag. Plastic spoons (but you could bring your own!)

If you're a chocolate lover you'll definitely have to try the smores sundae. I also check the flavor of the day and I've never been disappointed by any flavor I've tried. The only thing I dislike is the fact that the custard melts so quickly. That's the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. They're efficient, courteous and typically busy:)

Great food! This location use to be the best even when busy they were fast. Now they are a little slow. I’ve waited 20-30 minutes after ordering on a average day.

Used to live close years ago and we were passing by on the way home. Either they were very generous with my wife's single scoop or not so generous with my double. Enjoyed the chocolate peanut butter flavor of the day.

Mom loved her Strawberry Shortcake waffle cone! Good system of ordering and pick up with social distancing.
